The symptoms are headaches, dizziness, being tired, out of breath and nauseous. These are very common symptoms that are also attributed to a flu virus or even food poisoning making it hard to detect at first. Make sure you have a carbon monoxide detector in your home! Almost every household has a smoke alarm to warn of danger and for the same reason a carbon monoxide detector should be installed!<span style="font-size: 6pt;">[1]</span></p>

The best surfaces to walk on are: grass, wood chips, a dirt path, or a cinder track. Walking on hard surfaces, or unstable surfaces like sand and snow, can put unwanted pressure and stress on the joints.<span style="font-size: 6pt;">[1]</span></p>
<p>If you have to walk on harder surfaces, like concrete, make sure you wear shoes that have a great cushioned support. They will help alleviate any extra stress on your joints.</p>

Neuromas are common and benign. They are caused by the enlargement of the nerve that is most commonly located at the base of the third and fourth toes. These enlargements are due to many factors, but are usually found in patients with a pronated, or flat foot and with those who commonly wear tight or high-heeled shoes. All of these factors create an increase in stretching and pressure around the nerves, which then causes the neuroma. <span style="font-size: 6pt;">[1]</span></p>
<p>Look for custom shoe pads or shoes with a wide area around the toes with a lower heel. If the neuroma is severe enough, injections or surgery may be needed from your doctor.</p>
